A Creative Journey
I remember as a young teen feeling a bit adrift with my creativity and wanting to do something meaningful with it (or build on it in some way) but not really knowing what that was. In the end I was lucky enough to join a theatre group and found a path there. Cut to today and looking at the landscape for my creatively curious teenage son and it seems like the only camps & workshops locally are sports based. Nothing wrong with that but it’s not where he thrives. So, I decided to do something about it myself.
Drawing on my experience as a secondary school teacher and my 15+ years as a creativity and innovation leader at Google & Meta, I have devised and will deliver a series of creative workshops for young teens at Sandymount Community Centre this June! – “Design Your Own Board Game” and “Build Your Creative Confidence”.
In essence, these interactive, hands-on 2-day workshops are recommended for 13 – 15 year olds (but happy to chat if you think your child of a different age might enjoy it), and they are specifically designed to spark their imagination and build their creative confidence. Most of all they will be fun!
More details in the flyer image above, but just to call out that each 2-day workshop is 100 EURO and a handful of places are available for the following dates in June:
- June 12 & 13
- June 19 & 20
- June 26 & 27
Limited availability, so

I’m passionate about the intersection between education and creativity, as well as the opportunity to foster creative minds and give them a fun way to grow their own burgeoning creative practice. The tips, tools, tricks and techniques in these classes are the same ones I have successfully taught to hundreds of Silicon Valley employees, as well as third level students, and it makes me really happy to be able to pass that on to a younger generation of creative minds.
Let me know if you have any questions and I would be grateful if you share this onward with anyone you think might be interested
